Neurology and Biomechanics: The Foundation of Who We Are

Neurology is like air—you don’t realize how vital it is until it’s gone.

The Hidden Power of Neurology

Until a decade ago, I had no real understanding of neurology. Sure, I knew about neurological diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. I’d even been to a neurologist once, but to me, it was just another medical specialty—important, but abstract.

That all changed in 2014 when my neurology came crashing down, and I truly understood its significance.

In 2014, a seemingly minor dental procedure flattened my back teeth—and with it, my neurology.

Suddenly:

  • I wasn’t myself anymore.
  • Social interactions, once second nature, felt impossible.
  • My vibrant, adventurous personality—someone who traveled to 90+ countries and made friends effortlessly—was gone.

I withdrew into my own world. Friends drifted away. Worse, I couldn’t read people anymore. Social cues that were once intuitive became a foreign language.

My personality had changed so drastically that I didn’t recognize myself.

The Turning Point: Regaining My Neurology

In 2015, I began exploring biomechanics—how the structure of our bodies impacts everything, including our neurology. Slowly, I started to improve.

  • My mood lifted.
  • I could connect with people again.
  • Friends returned, and I even started hosting social events, something I hadn’t done in years.

All of this happened without therapy or medication. The secret lay in correcting the biomechanics that had derailed my neurology.

Over the next six years, my progress fluctuated. I would improve and then regress, but each setback taught me something new. Patterns emerged, and I realized these weren’t random occurrences—they were universal mechanics at work.

By 2021, I’d figured it out. My neurology stabilized, and since then, it’s been on an upward trajectory.

Why Neurology is the Foundation of Everything

Here are the key lessons I’ve learned:

  1. Neurology Shapes Personality
Your personality isn’t fixed. It can shift dramatically based on your neurological health. I’ve lived it—multiple times.

  2. Neurology is Essential for Connection
To connect with people, you need to read them. Neurological dysfunction blinds you to others’ emotions, making it nearly impossible to bond.

  3. Neurology is Controllable
With the right biomechanics, you can predictably improve your neurology. I’ve seen it in myself, my family, and others I’ve worked with.

  4. Neurology Defines Your Quality of Life
Energy, mood, focus, and social skills—all depend on a healthy neurological foundation.

If you’ve ever felt disconnected, low-energy, or “off” without knowing why, chances are your neurology is at play. The good news? It’s not a life sentence.

With the right approach, you can regain control of your neurology—and, by extension, your life.
